The activists wouldn't have created a hullabaloo if it was cat or a dog that has been abandoned due to old age and someone gave shelter & food to it . Why? cuz they r assumed to be "domestic" animals? Meant to be kept as pets? Its their destiny? If the point is Nature doesn't want it to live and thats why his mother rejected him, then what about the infants who are left in dustbins? Should they be left to die? I think a baby even if its of a pig (I detest pigs!) has the right to survival by whatever means possible even if it means domestication. So they went back to what they used to do (save polar bears). Yeah, that is what the zoo should be doing- saving those cute bears! They didn’t do that for the second baby (from another mother bear) after the animal rights activists made lots of hue and cry and they faced criticism anyway! So they went back to what they used to do (save polar bears). This is what happens when you try to please everyone, or rather, are not very sure about your theories or credentials.
