Tujhse Naraaz Nahin- Masoom

I really like the way Naseeruddin Shah has acted in this movie. Probably one of his best. And, Jugal Hansraj was much better as a child actor. Urmila…always been good. I really like her acting. Shabana Azmi also pulled off a decent performance, I think.

Second Part of the same song:

  2. tismar,

yes, I agree..actually all songs are pretty nice. Your advisor should be honored that you feel like singing a song after meeting him.

    Keep visiting! 🙂

  3. I loved this movie very much and this is one of my all time favourite movies – the rest being Mili, Black, Dor and Zakhm. Why Shekhar Kapur is not making a movie like this?

this was sung by bengali singer Anup Ghoshal who sung for the first time in Hindi (playback). this became the most popular of his songs. other songs sung in hindi are however, forgettable.

in this world where the talented are often not very successful, many geniuses go unrewarded, hardwork at times goes unseen (because someone else is claiming to be the father of success) and we are flustered by inhuman acts by people around us, i feel the the same and this number crosses my mind (tujhse naaraz nahi zindagi hairaan hoon main — just bthe first line). the fact that we had bad times and we overcame these, inspires us to face life with a brave front, and certainly not the good times when we tasted success (as i said, there are many to take credit for that).

this movie (Masoom) was actually a screen adaptation of Erich Segal’s work “Man, Woman and Child” with a different twist in the climax (the novel like every other Segal’s work has a sad ending).

Erich defined love in another popular book of his, ‘Love Story’ thus:

“Love means not ever having to say you’re sorry.”

  5. hey I didnt know that this movie was an adaptation of a novel. Thanks for the information about Anup Goshal aswell.
